Description

The South East European Journal of Economics and Business is a research-oriented journal that deals with topics in the fields of economics and business with a primary focus on the transition economies of South East Europe (SEE). Articles may involve explanatory theory, application of methods and/or methodologies, empirical studies, policy studies, and case studies. All submitted papers are double-blind reviewed.

We would like to welcome you and your colleagues to submit original works of research concerning economic theory and practice, management and business focused on the area of South East Europe. Topics may particularly relate to individual countries of the region or comparisons with other countries. All submissions must be original and unpublished. Submissions must be in English. Please note that all accepted manuscripts are tested for plagiarism before publication.

The primary objective of the SEE Journal of Economics and Business is to provide comprehensive coverage and understanding of various research topics in the fields of economics and business that relate to the South East European economies and businesses. The journal does not have article processing charges (APCs) nor article submission charges.

Peer Review Process

The South East European Journal of Economics and Business is a research-oriented journal that deals with topics in the fields of economics and business focused on transition economies of South East Europe. Articles may involve explanatory theory, application of methods and/or methodologies, empirical studies, policy studies, and case studies.

New articles are submitted through Open Journal System platform (OJS), maintained by the University of Sarajevo, School of Economics and Business at https://journal.efsa.unsa.ba/. The submission procedure begins by creating the user account, which provides relevant instructions and steps through an automated process. All communication, including with editors and reviewers is done through OJS, which is archived and free from any form of discrimination. New submissions must be original and unpublished, submitted manuscript must be in English and written in line with the journal’s guides.

The editorial board is devoted to the fast, fair and constructive double-blind peer review process, meaning that both the reviewers and authors identities are hidden. The editorial decisions are based on at least two referee reports, which are transparently sent to the authors.

There are no delays between acceptance and online pre-publication of the articles. All accepted manuscripts are immediately published on the journal’s web page with full information (doi, pages) and are ready for citations upon acceptance. The integrated issues are published twice a year, in June and December. The journal promotes all articles based on a free and open-access policy of each published manuscript and welcomes the author’s promotion through their personal networks, academic, and social media.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Sciendo also archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
